Avebury Dig – and now what?

Well this summer’s fieldwork on the Between the Monuments Project is at an end.

The trenches have been backfilled (which will protect what lies beneath) and the turf put back in its rightful place.

Gone but not forgotten

Off with the digging boots on with the thinking caps.

But that’s not the end of the story. Over the coming month’s we’ll be analysing the results of our Avebury Dig and going back to Alexander Keiller’s records and finds (in the archive of Avebury Museum) to try to make sense of what we’ve found. And along the way  we’ll be sharing some of our insights and discoveries with you here on FragmeNTs.
